Terms of Service
Polish by Synonymy · Effective March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Polish (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Polish is an editor-first iOS app that turns imported screenshots and screen recordings into polished, share-ready visuals — wrapping them in real device frames, placing them on backgrounds, and exporting them at the sizes different platforms use. Polish runs entirely on your device.
3. Use License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Polish for personal or commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
4. Privacy & Data
Polish runs entirely on your device. Your data is handled as follows:
- No account or sign-up is required.
- Screenshots, recordings, and images you import are copied into Polish’s private on-device storage and used only to render your compositions.
- Exports are created on-device and go only where you send them — the share sheet or your photo library.
- Polish has no accounts, analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs, and transmits no data to Synonymy or any external server.
For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of the screenshots, recordings, and compositions you create using Polish. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any media you import and for how you share your exports. Device frames and presets are provided for presentation purposes; product names and trade dress may be trademarks of their respective owners. Since all data is stored locally, you are responsible for backing up your content.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or any of its components.
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Polish is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synonymy is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of content — keep copies of anything important.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synonymy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Polish, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device performance issues.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Polish after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
