Privacy Policy
Polish by Synonymy · Effective March 2026
Overview
Polish is built to work entirely on your device. There is no Polish account, no analytics, and no server. This policy explains what data stays on your device, how your imported media is used, and what permissions Polish requests.
Data We Collect
Nothing. Polish has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. We never see your screenshots, recordings, or compositions, and no usage data leaves your device.
Your Media
Screenshots, recordings, and images you import are copied into Polish’s private storage on your device and used only to render your compositions. Exports are created on-device and go only where you send them — the share sheet or your photo library.
Photo Library Access
Polish asks for photo access only when you import from Photos, save an export, or enable Screenshot Pickup. With Screenshot Pickup on, Polish reads only your most recent screenshot when you return to the app — nothing else is scanned or uploaded.
No Account Required
Polish does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in. There is no authentication system, no user database, and no server-side user profiles.
Data Retention & Deletion
Projects live only in Polish’s local storage. Deleting a project, or deleting the app, permanently removes that data. There is no server copy.
Children’s Privacy
Polish is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
