1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using StudyBuddy(“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

StudyBuddy is an AI-powered study application that turns text, images, and PDFs into flashcards, quizzes, and study plans. It includes an AI tutor chat, spaced repetition, progress analytics, and a gamified achievement system to help you learn more effectively.

3. Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use StudyBuddy for personal or commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

4. Privacy & Data

StudyBuddy requires an account to save your study progress. Your data is handled as follows:

• Account authentication is managed securely.
• Study materials, flashcards, quiz results, and progress data are stored securely in the cloud under your account.
• Your study content is processed by AI services to generate flashcards, quizzes, and study plans.
• No data is shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

StudyBuddy offers a Pro subscription (“StudyBuddy Pro”) that unlocks additional features including image and PDF uploads, higher daily usage limits, and increased topic storage.

• Subscription Options: Monthly and Annual plans are available. Pricing is displayed on the in-app purchase screen and may vary by region.
• Free Trial: If a free trial is offered, any unused portion will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• Managing & Canceling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. You will be notified in advance and given the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create using StudyBuddy, including study materials, flashcards, quiz responses, and progress data. Synonymy does not claim any rights to your content.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or any of its components.
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it.
• Attempt to access other users’ data or interfere with the authentication system.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

StudyBuddy is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated flashcards, quizzes, study plans, and tutor responses may not always be accurate or complete. You should review AI-generated content before relying on it for exams or assessments.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synonymy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of StudyBuddy, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device performance issues.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of StudyBuddy after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
