Rootin is designed to help you build better habits while respecting your privacy. This policy explains what data Rootin collects, how it’s stored, and how it’s protected.

Data We Collect

Rootin collects and stores the following data under your authenticated account:

• Profile information you provide (name, username, date of birth)
• Habit definitions and schedules you create
• Daily check-in records and mood entries
• Reminder configurations and notification preferences
• Onboarding responses (energy level, focus, lifestyle satisfaction)

We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, location data, or usage analytics beyond what is necessary for the app experience.

How Data Is Stored

• Cloud storage — habit data, check-in history, and user profile are stored securely under your authenticated user account. Data is only accessible by the account owner.
• Local storage — sensitive data cached locally on your device is encrypted on-device.
• Authentication — Rootin supports Email/Password and Google Sign-In. Your credentials are managed securely and are not stored by Synonymy.

Third-Party Services

Rootin uses third-party services for secure authentication, cloud data storage, and anonymous crash reporting to improve app stability. Google Sign-In is available as an optional authentication method.

No data is shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual habits and check-in data within the app. Signing out clears all locally stored data. To request full deletion of your cloud-stored account data, contact us at hello@synonymy.studio.

Children’s Privacy

Rootin is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
