Application Code

The source code of Cipher is proprietary and confidential. No part of the application may be reproduced, distributed, modified, reverse-engineered, or used to create derivative works without prior written permission from Synonymy.

On-Device AI Models

Cipher integrates third-party on-device AI models distributed under their respective open-source licenses:

• Gemma 3 — Google, Apache 2.0 License
• Qwen 3.5 — Alibaba Cloud, Apache 2.0 License
• Llama 3.2 — Meta, Llama Community License

These models are used in compliance with their respective license terms. Synonymy does not claim ownership of these models.

Speech Recognition

Cipher uses Apple’s Speech framework for on-device speech recognition. Apple, the Apple logo, and related trademarks are the property of Apple Inc.

Third-Party Services

When using the optional Bring Your Own Key feature, Cipher connects to third-party AI providers. All third-party names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners:

• OpenAI and GPT are trademarks of OpenAI, Inc.
• Google Gemini is a trademark of Google LLC.
• Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.
• DeepSeek is a trademark of DeepSeek AI.
• Groq is a trademark of Groq, Inc.

User Content

All content created by users within Cipher — including voice recordings, transcripts, notes, to-dos, and project data — remains the sole property of the user. Synonymy does not claim any intellectual property rights over user-generated content.
