1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Alarmed(“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Alarmed is a mission-based alarm application that helps you wake up on time by requiring you to complete a selected challenge, such as a math puzzle, phone shake, or memory challenge, before the alarm turns off. Alarmed also provides simple morning stats for dismissals, snoozes, streaks, and wake-up history.

3. Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Alarmed for personal or commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

4. Privacy & Data

Alarmed is designed to keep alarm and wake-up data on your device. Your data is handled as follows:

  • No account or sign-up is required.
  • Alarms, mission settings, wake-up history, snoozes, dismissals, and streak stats are stored on your device.
  • Alarmed uses local notifications and device alarm behavior where supported to deliver alarms.
  • Alarmed does not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content and settings you create using Alarmed, including alarms, mission preferences, wake-up history, and streak stats. Synonymy does not claim any rights to your content.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or any of its components.
  • Use the App in a way that could create unsafe situations, including relying on wake-up missions while driving, operating machinery, or performing any task that requires full attention.
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part of it.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Alarmed is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Alarm delivery can depend on device settings, operating system behavior, battery state, notification permissions, and other factors outside Synonymy’s control. You are responsible for configuring your device and alarms appropriately.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synonymy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Alarmed, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device performance issues.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Alarmed after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
